The Delta Harp Blast packs heat that’s guaranteed to leave your festival’s stage smoldering and your patrons drenched in the blues!

ROD PIAZZA: Over 40 years of recording and performance experience has landed Rod Piazza the inimitable role as one of the world's preeminent harmonica players in modern blues today. With over 24 albums to his credit, Rod has clearly demonstrated time and again his mastery and command over the instrument, which has culminated in critical praise and numerous awards including the 1998 Blues Music Award for Harmonica Instrumentalist of the Year, along with four additional BMA's for his work with the Mighty Flyers. In person, Rod's stage shows have become legendary for his electrifying and rousing performances known for whipping an audience into a frenzy and creating a legion of devoted fans around the globe.

JOHNNY DYER: Johnny Dyer is one of those guys who is so steady, and has been doing what he does for so well for so long, that he's sometimes overlooked. But don't take Johnny for granted - he's one of the truly great harp players of his generation, the generation that came out of heyday of the blues harp in the 1950s. Born in Mississippi in 1938, and having spent some of his formative years on Stovall's Plantation in Rolling Fork (also home of Muddy Waters), early on Johnny absorbed the subtlety of phrasing and easy swinging chops that are at the core of all the great blues harp players.

MITCH KASHMAR: Mitch Kashmar is one of the most soulful and powerful blues singers in the business today, black or white.  His blues harp playing is second to none for creativity, drive and excitement.  Over the course of his career Kashmar has achieved what so many set out to do, but few can accomplish; he has found his own voice.  From his humble beginnings in the early 80’s in Santa Barbara with The Pontiax, to sharing the stage at London’s Royal Albert Hall in 2008 with legendary British rocker Eric Burdon & War, Kashmar’s own unique talent has always shone through.  A two-time Blues Music Award nominee, Kashmar has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in blues over the years and they've all known what the rest of the world is about to find out: Mitch Kashmar is a force to be reckoned with.

LYNWOOD SLIM: Armed with an impressive catalog of iconic recordings, Slim’s own uniquely cool blues meets jazz approach has landed him international acclaim and endeared him to an audience around the globe with a devout affection for California Blues.  His mastery of blues harmonica – both the “little harp” and the more difficult chromatic – is second to none.  He is also one of the finest blues vocalists of his generation.  His first hand experience and apprenticeship under veteran blues masters such as multi-instrumentalist Leonard “Baby Doo” Caston and harmonica giant Big Walter Horton has served him well as he has mastered the subtleties of tone and phrasing, and developed his own distinctive voice in the blues.

AL BLAKE: Al Blake is a name synonymous with class and style. His encyclopedic knowledge of the Blues and its players has earned him the status as one of the most serious students of the genre. Blake's early work with guitarist Michael "Hollywood Fats" Mann on the self-titled LP "Hollywood Fats Band" released in 1979 laid the blueprint for modern day era West Coast Blues and is widely considered a landmark album of the genre. Today Al Blake still walks the paths of his early mentors with a near-sacred need to preserve their tradition and avoid selling out to the aberrations of so many modern Blues-makers. His music is slowly evolving to the status of legend. Blake has said, "If the kind of Blues I'm so passionate about playing was a 4-legged mammal, it would be on the top of the endangered species list. It's that rare."

RANDY CHORTKOFF: Randy Chortkoff is a man thoroughly possessed and consumed by the Blues. He's made it his life's work to spread the power and message of the Blues to as many people as he can find who are willing to listen. From humble musician to concert promoter; to record producer and ultimately CEO of Delta & Eclecto Groove Records, Chortkoff's boundless passion and conviction for the blues is inexhaustible. As the founding member of The Mannish Boys, Chortkoff has helped preserve the raw sensibility and time tested tradition that encapsulates the blues, while also capturing the attentive ears of music fans around the world.

BOB CORRITORE: It has been forty years since Bob Corritore first picked up a harp. He maximized his early proximity to the 1970s Chicago Blues scene, befriending and learning from masters Louis Myers, Eddie Taylor, Robert Lockwood, Jr., Little Willie Anderson, Big Leon Brooks, Lester Davenport, Big Smokey Smothers, Little Mack Simmons, and others. Since relocating to Phoenix, Arizona in 1981, Bob has been prolific as a player, producer, radio personality since '84, and owner of the renowned Rhythm Room with which he's been associated for nineteen years now. Bob has built on that illustrious foundation, contributing his authoritative harp to about forty releases and it is now routine to find him on European stages or profiled in Blues magazines worldwide.

Reviving the spirit of such legendary revues of the past as the Johnny Otis Show, the Ike Turner Revue, or even the much celebrated American Folk Blues Festival, The Mannish Boys carry this grand tradition forward into the 21st century with an assembly of extraordinary talent that represents the very best of both the younger generation, as well as the deep-rooted veterans.  The Mannish Boys have been universally praised as one of the most exciting blues projects to come along in years and features some of the most dynamic blues talent in the world today.

As a veritable one-band traveling blues festival, The Mannish Boys offers up a flexible, rotating all-star cast that helps keeps things fresh and interesting.  The current lineup consists of two featured vocalists - Bobby Jones, whose deep history dates back to the late 1950s, to South Side Chicago, where his first big break came in the form of replacing legendary blues harp master Junior Wells in the Aces; and Finis Tasby, a singer in the mold of the great Texas blues tradition of artists such as Lowell Fulson and Freddie King, whom Tasby worked with on a regular basis on regional tours in the South throughout the later half of the 1960s. Supporting these two dynamic vocalists is a band whose resume is equally impressive; Kirk Fletcher and Franck Goldwasser on guitars, Willie J. Campbell on bass, Jimi Bott on drums and Randy Chortkoff on harp.  Collectively these musicians have performed and recorded with such notable artists as Charlie Musselwhite, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, James Harman Band, Rod Piazza & The Mighty Flyers, and The Hollywood Blue Flames.

Over the past six years, The Mannish Boys have honed their skills to a razor-sharp edge through performances on stages throughout the U.S., Canada and Europe including such prestigious festivals as the Long Beach Blues Festival, San Francisco Blues Festival, Portland’s Waterfront Blues Festival, Edmonton’s Labatt Blues Festival (Canada), Cognac Blues Festival (France), Notodden Blues Festival (Norway), Moulin Blues Festival (Holland), and the Lucerne Blues Festival (Switzerland), to name but just a few.  They have released five critically acclaimed albums since 2004 and have received a total of eight Blues Music Award nominations including four for Band of the Year, two for Traditional Album of the Year, and two for Album of the Year.

After their sold-out performance at Edmonton's Labatt Blues Festival, the Edmonton Journal's Roger Levesque wrote, "it was the Mannish Boys who really pulled out the blues by the roots and shook off the earth. The all-star collective of southern-bred, multi-generational blues vets used up their 90-minute set as M.C.-singer-harpmeister Randy Chortkoff gradually brought out each member for his own cameo, leading towards a collaborative finale with the crack backing band."

Los Fabulocos is accordionist/vocalist Jesus Cuevas, bassist/vocalist James Barrios, drummer Mike Molina, and guitarist/vocalist Kid Ramos - four working-class musicians who write and play music for a wide array of working class fans.  Upon the release of their self-titled debut album which was later acknowledged in the press as the “quintessential roots record of 2008,” Los Fabulocos’ unique brand of Cali-Mex was immediately embraced and praised by critics in newspapers and publications such as the Music Connection, La Opinion, OC Register, Houston Press and El Paso Times.  The band performs for crowds that range from a backyard party of 30 people to European festivals of 30,000 fans.  Their Southwestern blend of blues, zydeco, ‘50s rock ‘n’ roll, rhythm & blues, and traditional Mexican music has attracted a dedicated fan base whose broad appeal stems from honest musicianship, lyrics that touch the soul and good old fashioned hard work.

When commenting on what comprises a typical Los Fabulocos performance guitarist Kid Ramos explains, “We mix it up… We play songs in Spanish, then we'll do a Fats Domino song, then we'll play a blues, and then we'll do a Buck Owens or Johnny Cash song. People look and go, 'What?' Then, all of the sudden, they just start dancing and having smiles on their faces."   Whether you’re listening to one of their CDs in your car, or have the good fortunes to hear them play live, Los Fabulocos will expand your comfort zone, speak to your heart, and defy you to sit still!

”When critics talk about American roots music, this is what they mean. Los Fabulocos is a prime example of the magnificent working class art this immigrant nation can produce.”  - Retro Music Review

“If rockin' roots music from the likes of Los Lobos, Doug Sahm's Texas Tornados, Freddy Fender, Flaco Jimenez and The Hacienda Brothers appear on your radar screen, roll back the carpet, crack open a six pack of Mexican beer, put your dancing shoes on and play loud!” – Maverick Magazine

“As each tune begins you may ask yourself as I did “Is this blues? Traditional rancheras? Maybe it’s swamp rock or that Tex-Mex sound?” In the end you’ll realize that it’s music for the soul—good ole’ rock ‘n roll.”  – Chicano Soul Network

Two continents collide as California native Lynwood Slim teams up with the premier jump blues outfit from Brazil, the Igor Prado Band, for a surprisingly tasteful and swingin’ set of music featuring the smoldering guitar acrobatics of left-handed, upside-down guitarist Igor Prado.  The result is a tantalizing cocktail blend of American roots music hand-shaken and served straight up that’s guaranteed to go down smooth!

IGOR PRADO BAND: The Igor Prado Band has been quietly but steadily gaining their reputation as the foremost authority and leading practitioners of 1940-50s style Chicago/Jump Blues.  Based in Sao Paulo, Brazil, the band (all of whom are still in their twenties) is comprised of two brothers; Igor Prado on guitar and Yuri Prado on drums, bassist Rodrigo Mantovani and saxophonist Denilson Martins.  The Igor Prado Band has become an increasingly popular and in demand unit for supporting many of today’s blues elite while touring South America.  They have backed such highly esteemed artists as Eddie C. Campbell, Steve Guyger, James Wheeler, Phil Guy, Mud Morganfield (eldest son of Muddy Waters), R.J. Mischo, Gary Smith, Mark Hummel, Mitch Kashmar and Rick Estrin.

“Lynwood Slim is a master of both harmonica and vocals, and he knows how
to choose - or write - a song to suit the mood.” – Blue Suede News

“Brazilian Blues, I did not know that, but turns out that blues guitarist Igor Prado is a
big name in the blues world down South American way!” – Blues Matters

“Fine music – fine blues – is indeed where Lynwood Slim is at, and this certainly bodes well for the future of the blues."
Rhythms Magazine

“West Coast Blues is alive and well and living in Brazil! Doubters need only spin Igor Prado Band!”
Blues Revue Magazine

Guys like Kirk "Eli" Fletcher shouldn't be rare in the blues, but as blues fans know, they are.  At a time when his contemporaries are emulating hip-hop and artists with names such as 50 Cent or P. Diddy, Fletcher's heroes are people like B.B. King and Muddy Waters.  He's not just "one of" the only young black men who has mastered this music - for all practical purposes, he's "THE" one.

If you close your eyes, you're there.  Kirk Fletcher brings you the sound of blues as it was played when giants like Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, T-Bone Walker and Little Walter still towered over the blues landscape.  Kirk not only "gets it", he's got it, that hard-to-define depth that makes every phrase he plays come sounding exactly like the blues and nothing else.  Fletcher’s uniqueness in his field coupled with his extraordinary talent has earned him feature stories in virtually every major blues publication in the world.

As a two time Blues Music Award nominee who has toured with Lynwood Slim, Janiva Magness, Charlie Musselwhite, The Mannish Boys, The Hollywood Blue Flames and The Fabulous Thunderbirds, as well as performed with James Cotton, Pinetop Perkins, Hubert Sumlin, Mojo Buford, Phillip Walker, Larry Carlton, Robben Ford, Michael Landau, Elvin Bishop, Ronnie Earl, Doyle Bramhall, Michelle Branch and many more… Kirk Fletcher is considered one of the best young guitar players on the blues scene today.

“Fletcher favors toothy Strat tones, stinging bends, and flurries of tight, staccato riffs that
seem to pop from his fretboard like little firecrackers.
” – Guitar Player Magazine

“Fletcher clearly has ensemble dynamics down, suggesting that his years as a sideman have been fruitful. But he's also unabashed as a bandleader, and his guitar work earns its prominence.” – Blues Revue Magazine

“Kirk Fletcher is a young man with a big reputation in the making, he exudes class and style, knows all the classic licks but never resorts to mere copying, always with his own take in his trick bag.” – Blues & Rhythm Magazine
